Hey team! We have received a request from Hart House and the 519 Community Centre to support them at 519 Sports Day! Hart House has been working with The 519 Community Centre to bring back their annual Sports Day for 2SLGBTQ+ Newcomers and Refugees. At this event participants will join us for a day of fun sporting activities at the Varsity Centre Stadium for activities such as: soccer; track and field; cheerleading; music; dance and crafts.

Hey team, Science Rendezvous is on May 11, 2024. It is an all-day STEM festival held on Front Campus with upwards of 30,000 people expected to participate.

Hi Team! If you are hoping to volunteer as a responder/supervisor at ANY of our events over Summer 2024 (May-September, including Orientation Week), or any partnership events with Odyssey Medical through UTEFR (including all Festival Health and/or Medical positions), please sign up for this training. Exceptions are only considered on a case-by-case basis and is highly unlikely - This is to ensure responders are familiar with protocols and our response structure over the summer when events are the busiest.

Hey team! We are excited to host our annual Field Day training! This event will be in lieu of our regular monthly trainings, where we partner with actors from local high schools, put special effects makeup on them, and have them act as patients! This event is to simulate real world scenarios as much as possible, focusing on realistic and high fidelity training. Due to the number of actors, slots are limited for this event. Please only sign up if you are absolutely going to attend.

Hey friends! We’ve scheduled our final mandatory training for 2023! It will be happening on Tuesday the 28th from 1900-2100 in OISE 5170. If you intend on coming, please RSVP ASAP using the link beside so we can prepare food for everyone.
For this training, we will be holding a BP workshop for those FR+ and an ankle wrapping workshop for everyone so bring your favourite stethoscope (if applicable) and your questions! Also, in response to the feedback from previous trainings, we’re incorporating a lecture component after each sim we do as a more comprehensive “debrief” so that we can offer some continuing medical education for our certified responders and that we’re actually learning something new :)!

Please use this form to express interest to attend the Boots & Hearts. This event takes place at the Burl's Creek Event Grounds - Responders are responsible for their own transportation/lodging. Please also note these shifts are not guaranteed since it highly depends on Odyssey's internal staffing levels and confirmation will be sent directly from Odyssey. Sign ups will close July 8.

As of now, anyone with a valid First Responder certification or higher and has completed a skills assessment is welcome to help out. FebruARY TRAINING - march 2
Hey folks! Given that reading week took up the majority of February and that I didn’t want to schedule training for the first Monday back, we’ve decided to do our mandatory February training on Thursday, March 2nd! The training will be held from 7-9pm and we will be meeting in OISE 5230! There will be no prerequisite prep material for this training session so enjoy your breaks!
